I live in a 2 bedroom flat so am looking for an older calmer small/medium dog/bitch that won't need to be out in the garden running off energy 24/7 as we only have a communal green or the park round the corner.
Saying that I go walking twice a day for a good 30 minutes plus each time and we go on long countryside treks at the weekend so he/she will need a fair bit of stamina still! I work from home so will be available to take the dog out onto the green through the day for toilet breaks too.
They must be ok travelling by car as we go on walking holidays around England and plan to take our new companion with us.
We are keeping a close eye on local rescue centres for suitable candidates but thought I would put a note on here too after browsing your website
We are based in Liphook in Hampshire but are willing to travel within reason to meet our new canine pal (the closest rescue home we have found is 30 mins away anyway!)
We prefer mongrels/crossbreeds but will consider anyone suitable to our circumstances and are happy to have home visits and or interviews to check suitability to an animal as there is no point rescuing a dog if he isn't going to be happy with us!
