Hi

We live in the manchester area and have a 5 year old cross breed which we have had for four years.

Neo is 5 years old.  He is a very loving but boisterous dog.  He would be great with a family with teenage children or couple, as we have found that with younger children he is very excitable and becomes too much for very small children to handle.

He doesn’t like anyone going near his bowl when there is food in it, as he growls at you, however he has never bit anyone.

He loves playing with his squeaky toys and footballs.

He needs to be in a home that has a very big garden which is very secure and has no gaps in the fencing as he has a habit of finding places to escape out of and goes wandering off for miles.   This is one of the reasons why we cannot keep him as we live on a main road and we are afraid he will either get knocked down or killed and we would never want this for him.  We have tried our very best to keep the back garden secure however, he still finds places to escape.

Neo likes going for walks, however he is very head strong so he would need someone who can handle him walking, as he pulls.

Neo also likes going in the car, however he needs to be in the boot area where he is fine otherwise if he is on the back seat he just walks up and down and starts getting giddy.

We have loved having Neo for the past four years, however it is not fair for him to be left home alone for very long periods of time due to work, as he deserves a much better life than the one he has at the moment and he needs someone who will give him the attention, love and affection he deserves.

If anyone knows of someone who could give neo a good home, please get in contact.

Thanks
Amanda

Hi Amanda,

Have you thought about approaching your local rescue for help rehoming Neo? You may need to go on a waiting list but worth enquiring.

or call Manchester RSPCA on 0161 882 0680.

Best of luck.

Hi Abbie

We are on a waiting list with Bleakholt up in Norden, Rochdale but its a very long waiting list.

We are trying to rehome him with someone we know before we make the decision to ring Manchester Dogs Home.
